Casa das Amoras

Casa das Amoras is a warm and authentic Alentejo style country house in the middle of the Nature Park of Serra de São Mamede. Our property has 2 hectares filled with beautiful Pine, Olive and Fruit trees. From our garden and the swimming pool you have a spectacular view of the stunning medieval village Marvão, which is located on a hilltop of the Serra.

Casa das Amoras is a typical Alentejano 3 bedroom country house with a private swimming pool.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and a laundry machine. Attached to the kitchen is the dining area with a table for 6/8.

The living room is where the wood stove for the winter time is located. It gives access to the blue bedroom on one side and the green and white bedroom and the guest toilet on the other side.

All 3 bedrooms have their own colour, twin beds and private bathroom. The green room is the only room without a bath, but has a shower and looks out over a part of the garden. The white room looks out at the swimming pool and has a bath. The blue room has a view on the side of the swimming pool as well, has a bath and there even is a private entrance and can be closed off from the main house. In all rooms are portable airco´s.

The covered veranda looks out on the swimming pool. Enjoy sitting around the big outside table or be more seclusive around the corner at our BBQ area with smaller tables. In the garden there is a solar shower and there are some sunbeds for the sun lovers and a nice grass area. (photo 8 BBQ Area)

Come and enjoy the slow pace of the Portuguese Alentejo. The calm and restful surroundings, the good wine and typical local food will bring you back to the basics of life!
