Maria Ramos Sanz

I’m Maria, and together with my husband Daniel, we are Forest Engineers with a deep love for the sea and sailing. In 2008, while expecting our first daughter, we discovered this unique 18th-century stone house by the water’s edge — and instantly knew it was our dream home. By the time she was born, we were already living here! Work took us to Barcelona, but we could never imagine selling it. Instead, we transformed it into a welcoming holiday home, so we could share its beauty and history with travellers from all over the world. Today, we have two teenage daughters and a Golden Retriever, and we still return as often as possible — though never as often as we’d like! A Pousada do Mar is more than just a house
