We are Marcel and Carolien. After living in Curacao for 12 years, we were looking for a new challenge and after a vacation/road trip through Portugal in a camper van, we decided that Portugal was the place for us. In September 2024, we visited Joop and Robert at Camping Quinta do Pomarinho twice during our road trip through Portugal to see which region we would ultimately like to buy something in. After our road trip, we returned to the Netherlands and then to Curacao, where, very unexpectedly during our last week in the Netherlands, we sold our house in Curacao, which caused everything to happen very quickly. Within six months, we had arranged everything in Curacao and returned to the Netherlands. After arranging within six months, we had everything arranged on Curacao and returned to the Netherlands. After taking care of the necessary matters in the Netherlands, we returned to Portugal to Joop and Robert’s Camping Quinta do Pomarinho to start looking for our new place from there. During our stay with Joop and Robert, it turned out that the campsite was still for sale, and because this campsite made us feel at home, we decided to buy it. We have found our new challenge and we are very excited to continue running this campsite. We hope that our guests will feel the same way when they stay at Quinta do Pomarinho campsite.
